A new bilateral platform connecting innovation, capital, and execution between Canada and Saudi Arabia.
On February 11, 2026, leaders from Saudi Arabia and Canada formally launched the Canada–Saudi Biotech Corridor at the Federation of the Saudi Chambers in Riyadh.
The event marked the transition from vision to execution — establishing a structured, long-term bilateral platform designed to accelerate biotechnology collaboration between the two nations.
The launch brought together representatives from:
- Saudi and Canadian biotech leaders
- Investment stakeholders
- Policy and ecosystem builders
- The Canada Saudi Business Council
- The Saudi Canada Business Council
This Corridor is built as a win–win alliance, aligning Canada’s globally recognized strengths in scientific innovation, genomics, advanced therapies, and biotech entrepreneurship with Saudi Arabia’s scale, strategic ambition, capital capacity, and localization platform under Vision 2030.
During the launch session, participants:
- Confirmed the formal establishment of the Canada–Saudi Biotech Corridor
- Agreed on a light-touch governance structure with Saudi and Canadian co-founders
- Defined 4 priority pillars:
- Academia, talent exchange & Capacity Building
- Investment & Venture / Biotech Accelerator & Translation
- Genomics & Precision Medicine
- Clinical Trials Infrastructure
- Identified initial quick-win initiatives to be developed ahead of July 2026
